Do I put the sheet in the drum or the dispenser drawer?

The drum, directly on top of your clothes before you load them. Dispenser drawers are designed for liquid and a sheet can get stuck. This is the most common first-time mistake and the easiest one to avoid.

Do laundry sheets work in cold water?

Yes. Blue Bird sheets dissolve fully in cold, warm and hot cycles. If you run very short cold cycles, tearing the sheet in half before adding it helps it dissolve faster.

How many sheets do I use per load?

One sheet for a normal load. Two for a large, very full or heavily soiled load. There is no cap to measure, which is the point.

Are laundry detergent sheets safe for HE washers?

Yes, and for standard machines too, front-loading or top-loading. Sheets are low-sudsing, which is exactly what high-efficiency machines require.

Do laundry sheets actually clean as well as liquid?

A sheet contains the same cleaning agents as liquid detergent, without the water used to dilute and ship them. One pre-measured sheet delivers the correct dose every time, which is more than most people manage with a measuring cap. Overpouring is the most common laundry mistake there is, and it is why clothes come out stiff with residue. A sheet cannot be overpoured.

Will they remove tough stains?

For everyday wear, sweat, food and general grime, yes. For set-in stains like oil or red wine, pre-treat first, exactly as you would with liquid detergent. No detergent of any kind removes a set-in stain in a single normal wash.

How many loads are in a box?

Eighty loads per box. At $19.99 that works out to about 25 cents per load. The Household Pack of three boxes brings it down to 20 cents per load with free shipping.

Are Blue Bird sheets safe for sensitive skin?

Our Fragrance Free sheets contain no added fragrance and no dyes, which is what most people with sensitive skin are looking for. As with any new detergent, patch-test a single item first if anyone in your household has reactive skin.

Can I use fabric softener with them?

You can, though most people find they do not need to. Residue from overpoured liquid detergent is a common reason fabrics feel stiff, and that goes away on its own with pre-measured sheets.

How should I store them?

Anywhere dry. The sheets keep indefinitely and the box is flat enough to sit in a drawer, a cupboard or a suitcase.
